Overview

The Assistant Purchasing Manager is responsible for the ordering of inventory with primary oversight of beverage products for the food and beverage outlets and banquet operations. This Manager is also responsible to ensure that all beverage operating supplies, china and glass are stocked to par for operating efficiency. The Assistant Purchasing Manager is responsible for daily systems and processes as related to ordering, inventory maintenance, beverage cost controls, tracking, and reporting. This is an analytical role which involves administration of purchasing, inventory, and point of sale software.

Responsibilities

 

  • Support a culture that promotes effective communications, service excellence, teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and Associate satisfaction
  • Collaborates with Purchasing Manager, Director of Restaurants, Director of Banquet Operations and Executive Chefs on product inventory and pricing, quarterly par levels
  • Responsible for beverage product ordering, inventory and maintenance of established par levels for F&B outlets and banquet operations
  • Facilitates and supplies reports for QA inspections including product supplies, pricing, safety and sanitation.
  • Participates in menu engineering data analyses as needed
  • Actively engages with Purchasing Associates to maintain organization and cleanliness of purchasing area and storage space
  • Works collaboratively with Engineering on preventive maintenance of equipment, storage space, flooring, and ceiling areas.  Ensures proper temperature controls within climate specific areas. 
  • Maintains financial responsibility through ensuring compliance with established par levels
  • Responsible for accuracy of product list and pricing updates in ordering and inventory system
  • Maintain product knowledge as it relates to pricing fluctuations, specialty sourcing and lead time impact
  • Work collaboratively with internal partners to plan inventory needs for upcoming events through regular attendance at 10 day meetings
